Josh Birdwell

Senior Vice President, Enterprise Technology and Delivery

Josh Birdwell serves as senior vice president, enterprise technology and delivery for Pilot. He is responsible for overseeing the modernization and delivery of technology systems and services to enable the company’s strategic objectives.   

Since joining Pilot in 1998, Josh has held a variety of positions in technology with expanded scope and leadership roles throughout his 26-year career at the company. Most significantly, Josh led recent initiatives to modernize Pilot’s retail technology, including the launch of self-checkout and upgraded point-of-sale systems, and oversaw the development of the myRewards Plus app.   

Josh graduated from the University of Tennessee with a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering and an MBA. Additionally, he serves on the executive board for the Boy Scouts of America Great Smoky Mountain Council.
